Have you written for Helium?

Posted on behalf of Momwriter

Don't know if this is the right forum to post this.

I submitted a load of articles to Helium as well as MSN content. But I did not receive anything in return! How do I track how many people are reading my articles? I have not had anyone contacting me saying- I read your article on Heilum. Then what is the point?

Has anyone here made any money from such sites?

Yes people do read them on Helium and MSN! I have had readers writing to me about my pieces posted in Helium.Unfortunately Helium does not open to those of us in India. They say they will be rectifying it soon But so far no money .....nor response from Msn either.About tracking readers down, the website needs to do it I suppose like some of them like chowk which tells us how many 'views' there are.

Hi sreelatamenon,

you seem to have a lot of knowledge and experience in this freelancing field. Are there other websites that you can recomment to people like me, who're just starting out and wish they could break away from their daily drudgery of work and home and do some creative writing for a change?

TIA

Tia, of the 100 websites offered by CF as a free download 60 and more are just the kind for a beginer. The compilation is a fallout of my various attempts at getting published.Every one of them on the list responded and so they made the list ...but  like I've  said repeatedly it takes time and a lot of patience .Start responding and writing for anything and everything and the cheques will start coming in.Thats a promise! For a start try chilibreeze itself....SM

Thanks...that sounds like great advice. I have already filled the writer's form at www.chillibreeze.com and am writing the sample article. I hope I'll get some good work from them once this is done.

Must say I'm very eager to get writing!
