White Rose of Agra

Many have walked-

the paths of the Taj Mahal.

Its green lawns of velvet

All covered with flowers.

 
The white rose in a distance,

its dome shines in the light.

The four minarets at its corner,

can be seen from afar.

Oh! what a marvelous sight.

 
The white flower blossoms-

on the bank of the river.

River "Yamuna" she is called,

She flows on forever and ever.

 
White marble stone that glows,

under the moon light.

All built for the love of a lady,

who was his adorable wife.

 
Red sand stone walls, protect -

the rose and give her peace.

Laid to rest all down beneath.

 
With precious stones embedded-

in marble so white.

The king Shah Jahan and queen Mumtaz,

are left to rest in the silence of the night.

 
This is the most beautiful love poem ever told.

To mark their passion and give glory to their souls.
