Over usage of Adverbs

Did you know that after verbs, adverbs are the part of speech most often abused through in the English language.

Most adverbs are unnecessary. Repeated use of  adverbs clutter your writing style. if you choose a verb that has a specific meaning and then add an adverb that carries the same meaning only ruins your writing. When we say the radio blared loudly - "blare" connotes loudness. Don't write that she  clenched his fist  tightly - there's no other way to clench your fist.

Again and again in careless writing, strong verbs are weakened by redundant adverbs. Make your writing stronger and tighter by editing out all the ly words in your articles.
