PARKING AT INDIAN MALLS & CUSTOMER WOES

                                         By Geetha Shree.c

INTRODUCTION

India was ruled for 200 years by the British and has been highly influenced by Colonialism. Since the age old Indian’s practiced agriculture as their occupation, agriculture has largely contributed to the Indian Economy.

REVOLUTIONARY INDIA

It was in 1991 that the Government of India opened itself to the global economy.  The economic conditions forced the Government under the Supervision of Mr. Man Mohan Singh to liberalization.  The post liberalization era brought with itself a revolution in the Indian business scenario.  The consistent growth opportunity skills, knowledge, have attracted various communities across the country and world to re-locate in the cosmopolitan cities across the country.

THE UNWARY

The sudden changes in the Industrial scenario and achievement of break through paths in various fields has attracted the younger generation and families to  relocate into cosmopolitan cities. The economic liberty, change in the standard of living, the traveling woes through public transport, comfort and luxury, choices of diversified products has compelled people to buy vehicles.  The accumulation of vehicles has taken place over the number of years, but proper infrastructure has not been provided.  The growth rate has taken place at a faster rate but infrastructural development is not in pace with growth.  Hence in many parts of the country heavy parking charges are levied, so that the vehicles are removed by the owners in a short span of time.  The other vehicles can be replaced for parking.  The shopping malls, commercial areas do not have allotted or spacious parking places and the customers or general public either pays higher parking charges or park the vehicles at odd places which hence forth causes huge traffic jams, further shopping malls have worsen the scenario.  Many reputed companies do not want to come forth to invest money in the country due to improper infrastructure availability.  Henceforth parking poses a potential problem at malls and other places of the country, which need to be addressed by developers, authorities and the individuals, also owe responsibility to co-operate  with the authorities over the parking management.

Re: parking at india malls & customer woes

The subject matter is unplanned growth of vehicle population - a relevant topic; but then loaded with too many obvious and avoidable details. Geetha while your effort to reduce your thoughts to writing is much appreciated you would do well to remain focussed on the main topic. Keep writing and with experience you're bound to mature into a good writer!

Re: parking at india malls & customer woes

Hi...I was hoping to see more about the problem itself and some solutions...you actually approached the actual issue only in the closing paragraph of the article..like Eknaath says, maybe more focus on the core theme would be good?
