Writing for Encyclopedia...

I just got this offer forwarded to me by a friend (someone I know personally). Its for writing short articles for an encyclopedia. Has anyone done anything like this before? They have said that you can write as many or as few articles as you wish. But the payment terms are not too clear. Also, the offer sounds more like a voluntary thingy. Would like to hear from anyone who has written and got paid (or hated it).

Hey, someone just sent this kind of work to me too! I would love to hear from anyone who has done this and found it to be profitable - although I doubt just how good the final encyclopedia will be if its writte up by untested freelancers?

Good point about the validity of the publication!

I do know of someone who has written for an encyclopedia - shall ask for details and get back to you.

Hey, I know someone who took up a similar project and ended up wasting a lot of time and effort. Not to mention she didn't get anything to show for it. Please be careful as there have been plenty of hoax offers being circulated on the internet.
