Satyajit Ray for kids

I recently came across the Feluda series by Satyajit Ray. Those of us who have grown up with Nancy Drews and Hardy Boys will find this much better. Originally published in Bengali by Ray, these works have been transalated to English. The hero of these adventures is Feluda (Felu being his name and 'da' the Bengali equivalent of 'ji). The narrator is his cousin, 10 year old Tapesh (Topshe). The writing is simple and clear and the plots straightforward. It is a beautiful example of Indian writing in English.

Re: Satyajit Ray for kids

I enjoy detective fiction and Feluda stories are my favourites too. I love the vigour and energy of the characters.Feluda's powers of observation and deduction are fascinating. These stories will continue to enthrall readers for generations of come.
